JOV Control

Use any phone, tablet or computer with a browser to control your Mac. JOV Companion runs in the Mac’s menu bar, and the Control Pad connects to it over HTTPS on your local network after you pair it once.

Free with a JOV Account, the same one you use for JOV Office.

From version 1.3.0 on, JOV Companion updates itself: it checks once a day and installs a new version when you agree. If you have 1.2.1 or earlier, download this version once.

Install

  1. Open the DMG and drag JOV Companion onto Applications.
  2. Open JOV Companion. The first time, macOS stops it because it came from the web and Apple hasn’t notarized it. Click Done.
  3. macOS 15 or later: System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Open Anyway, then confirm with your Mac password. macOS 14 or earlier: Control-click JOV Companion ▸ Open ▸ Open.
  4. Sign in with your JOV Account.
